One-Way Dummy Ticket

A one-way reservation holds a seat in a single direction. It is the right choice when you already have the other direction, or when what is being asked for is just a departure — an onward flight out of a country, or a return home.

When one direction is enough

  • You hold a real ticket for one direction and need a reservation for the other
  • An airline or immigration desk wants to see an onward flight before letting you board
  • A file asks only for proof that you will leave within your permitted stay

What it costs

₹400 per passenger before 18% GST — ₹472 for one passenger in India, $5.90 from abroad. A return on one reservation is ₹600 per passenger.

Booking it

Search the route and date, choose the flight, enter the passengers exactly as in the passport, and pay. The PDF arrives once the airline has issued the PNR — usually within 10 to 60 minutes.

Two honest limits: what can be held depends on the route, the class and the date, so the search shows what is actually available rather than promising a particular flight; and a minority of consulates require a confirmed, paid ticket — where that is the rule, no reservation satisfies it. Read the checklist of the mission handling your application before you book.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a one-way reservation enough for a visa?
It depends on what the file asks for. Many visit-visa files want both directions, which a return reservation covers; an onward-travel check usually needs only the departure.
Can I add the other direction later?
Each order is its own reservation. If you later need the other direction, book it as a separate one-way reservation.
