Your actual reservation arrives as a PDF in the standard airline reservation format with your real flight and passenger details. The example above is for illustration only — its PNR is not a real booking.
What each part of the PDF means
| Field | What it shows |

| Airline logo & name | The airline holding your reservation — the one whose website you use to check it. |
| Flight number | The airline code and flight number, e.g. 6E 1405. |
| Route & times | Departure and arrival airports with dates and scheduled times. A return reservation shows both directions. |
| Passenger names | Every traveller on the order, exactly as entered — which should be exactly as in the passport. |
| Airline PNR | The airline's own booking reference. This is what makes the reservation verifiable. |
| Booking status & expiry | Shows that the seat is reserved / on hold, and until when. Holds last days, not weeks. |
| Agency details | The travel agency that made the reservation. |
How to verify the PNR
- Go to the airline's website — the airline shown on the reservation.
- Open "Manage Booking" (some airlines call it "My Trips" or similar).
- Enter the PNR and a passenger's surname. While the hold is valid, the booking appears with the same flight and names as on your PDF.
Check before you submit
Spelling matches each passport exactly — given name and surname.
Flight dates match the travel dates in your visa application form.
The hold is still valid when your documents are checked — book close to the appointment.
Many embassies also want proof of stay — add a hotel voucher.
Most consulates accept a verifiable reservation at the application stage; a minority require a confirmed paid ticket. Check the checklist of the mission handling your application.
