Reviewing a Dummy Air Ticket Before You Submit It

The only review that matters is the one you do yourself before the file goes in. It takes two minutes.

1. Look the PNR up on the airline's website
Open the airline's Manage Booking page, enter the six-character PNR and the first passenger's surname. You should see the flights, the date and every name. If the lookup fails, do not submit it.

2. Compare every name with the passport
Letter by letter, in the same order. A missing middle name or a swapped first and last name is the commonest reason a reservation is questioned.

3. Check the dates against your plan
The outbound and return dates should match your hotel booking, your insurance and the dates on the visa form.

4. Read the expiry
It is printed on the reservation. It must be later than the day your file will be checked, not just the day you submit it.

5. Read the route
Departure from the city you actually leave from, arrival where your trip begins, return to where it ends. A connection on the way is normal.

Reading reviews of the website itself

Look for reviewers who say they checked the PNR on the airline's site, who mention the price they paid, and who say how long the reservation lasted. Those three facts tell you more than any star count.

If anything is wrong

Write to support@journeydeal.com with the PNR. A reservation with a wrong name or date is replaced, not edited.

One more check: some consulates ask for a paid ticket rather than a reservation. Read your consulate's checklist before you submit either.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I check whether my dummy ticket is genuine?
Enter the PNR and surname on the airline's own Manage Booking page. A genuine reservation shows the flights and every passenger.
What should I check before submitting it?
The PNR lookup, every name against the passport, the dates against your hotel and insurance, the printed expiry and the route.
What if a name is spelled wrongly?
Write to support with the PNR before you submit anything. A wrong name is corrected with a new reservation.
How do I judge reviews of a dummy ticket website?
Trust reviews that mention checking the PNR on the airline's site, the price paid and how long the reservation stayed live.
